Taste of Dallas Comes to a Close
This year, Taste of Dallas is reporting that the 26th Annual Gathering is their largest yet!
Taste of Dallas – Eat. Drink. Shop. Repeat.
While we were not able to showcase our tasty donuts with them this year, we would love to hear what our guests think about us attending next year? We would love to spread the word about SK Donuts, and what better way to do that than at Dallas’ largest local foodie convention?
As the Taste of Dallas comes to a close today in Fair Park (11am-9pm), over 100,000 visitors will have browsed through the event bringing much needed exposure to small and large restaurants alike. With a sputtering economy, most families are typically forced to cut back on dining out. Therefore, one of the industries bound to be hit hardest in this economic climate is the restaurant industry; specially local restaurants.
Local restaurant owner Tim McLaughlin of Lockhart Smokehouse comments about his involvement in the Taste of Dallas:
”We noticed last year we’d have people come here and I’d go back to the restaurant and recognize them that same day, so we do build a lot of business from it… People will come in three to five months later and say ‘I saw you at Taste of Dallas.’”
The exposure new and small businesses get is great, but this truly epic event is also looked forward to each year by Dallas-ites and foodies from all over Texas.
“Being a Dallas native I love it when our own homegrown events are done right.”
Keith Hill – founder of Uptown Jazz Dallas - mentions in reference to the Taste of Dallas event last year.
Be sure if you haven’t stopped in to check this event out, that you grab a ticket (discounted $5 tickets can be found a your local Kroger) and head out there today before 9pm. Next year maybe SK Donuts will be listed as one of the new restaurants joining the ranks at this tasty venue! Donuts for everyone!
